Can't detect I2C displays with arduino nanoArduino Nano

SCL - A5 SDA - A4 VCC - 5v GND - GND

All cables tested and work ..:

SCL - A5
SDA - A4
VCC - 5V
GND - GND

ImI'm using an arduino nanoArduino Nano board and an I2CI2C display - IveI've tried everything to get it to work and imI'm now convinced itsit's a hardware fault. Using the Arduino I2CI2C address scanner, it is unable to find a device, even though it is wired correctly  (I've checked multiple times)
