Related to updated sprockets gem required in Rails 4.2.0 (see rails/sass-rails#291). Currently this is deprecated in sprockets 3 and the .css.scss extension will not be supported in sprockets 4.
I did not touch the version file or changelog, as I'm not sure if you wanted to push this out as a new Rails 4.2 specific version. As far as I know this should still work fine on Rails <4.2, but I haven't had a chance to check.
