  • At RT2025 in Kuala Lumpur this week, AAK hosted a “Beyond Deforestation” seminar where we reaffirmed our sustainability commitment that goes beyond deforestation and we aim to lead in greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, deforestation-free supply chains, and positive social impact. It was an engaging session with insightful dialogue among stakeholders across the industry.   🌍 Key highlights: • 93% of our palm oil sourced is verified deforestation-free (VDF), with 98% traceability to plantation and 99.9% to mill. • The climate roadmap includes 50% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions, 33.3% reduction in scope 3 FLAG, and 46.2% in Scope 3 non-FLAG emissions by 2030. • Collaboration with 2-0 LCA enables advanced Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modeling for over 100 mills, driving accurate GHG quantification and mitigation strategies.  • Innovations like methane capture from POME and peatland water management offer major emission reductions. • AAK’s people journey emphasizes human rights due diligence, ethical sourcing, and community empowerment across global supply chains. • Programs in West Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America support women, smallholders, and regenerative agriculture. • Prof. Jannick Schmidt was our special guest who presented on quantifying AAK's palm oil supply chain GHG emissions and reduction opportunities related to the palm oil industry. AAK’s message is clear: sustainability is a journey of transformation and collaboration. Through data-driven action, strategic partnerships, and deep supply chain engagement, AAK is Making Better Happen™. #BetterPlanet #Sustainability #MakingBetterHappen

  • 🧀 🌱 As the number of flexitarians, vegetarians, and vegans continues to rise, their choices are changing how cheese and dairy are made and enjoyed. 🌱 🧀 Flexitarians stand out in this shift, balancing both worlds – increasingly choosing plant-based options, while still occasionally consuming meat or dairy. But there’s a catch… They’re also the most discerning – eager to try new products, yet quick to walk away if the taste and texture don’t deliver. This shift in consumer behavior is opening exciting opportunities for innovation in cheese and dairy. The challenge? Creating products that deliver the same indulgent taste, creamy texture, and nutritional value that consumers know and love. At AAK, we are collaborating with customers and partners to explore new ways to improve taste and texture in plant-based cheese and dairy, with the goal of supporting continued innovation in this fast-evolving category. 💬 What do you think makes a plant-based cheese truly stand out on the shelf? #PlantBasedFood #FoodInnovation #Flexitarian #DairyAlternatives
