In rare cases, you may experience issues that are caused by an unused Google Home Premium subscription. These issues may happen because:
- You’ve been charged for a subscription in a home that you’re no longer part of.
- You have a subscription that you can’t assign to a camera or home.
You’ll receive notifications if you have an unused subscription. These notifications may come as:
- A message at the top of the GStore subscription page that says, “Action required. You’re paying for subscriptions but not receiving service.” This is either because you’re no longer a member of the home or because the home was deleted.
- An email titled, “You left [home address],” to notify you that you’ve been removed from a home that has a Google Home Premium subscription.
- New information in your Google Home app's Activity that says your Google Home Premium needs a home.
To fix issues caused by an unused Google Home Premium subscription, you can either assign the unused subscription to a home or cancel it.

Cancel an unused Nest Aware subscription
Important: If you cancel Google Home Premium, billing auto-renewal will stop. You won't be granted a refund for the unused billing period, even if the subscription isn't being used or is no longer needed.
If you don't want to use the subscription on any home, cancel the unused subscription to avoid being charged.
- Go to the Google Store.
- If you’re not already signed in, sign in to the Google Account you use to manage subscriptions for your home in the Google Home app.
- Select your Account icon.
- Tap Subscriptions. A message at the top of the page lets you know which subscriptions are no longer receiving service.
- Tap Cancel.
