How the Google Verified badge works
For existing advertisers, no action is required - all eligible existing advertisers who've completed verification requirements will automatically earn the new Google Verified badge and your ads will continue running as usual.
New advertisers will need to successfully complete the Local Services screening and verification process in order to get the Google Verified badge. To learn more about these requirements, review the following resources:
The table below outlines the steps advertisers will need to take to receive the Google Verified badge.
| Advertiser type | Completed verification requirements | Next steps |
| New | The Google Verified badge will be issued once you’ve met all of the verification requirements. | |
| Existing | No action is needed. You’ll automatically earn the new Google Verified badge, and your ads will continue to run as usual. |
How the Google Verified badge shows
The Google Verified badge will display on the Local Services Ads profile, and it may dynamically appear on other surfaces where it adds consumer value. Relevant verifications will also be called out on verified profiles, providing more transparency to consumers.
Below you’ll find an example of how the Google Verified badge will show.
Changes to the Google Money Back Guarantee
As part of this change, Google will be discontinuing the Money Back Guarantee associated with the Google Guarantee badge.
Eligible consumers can submit the request for reimbursement for services booked through Local Services Ads before December 7, 2025. Requests must be submitted within 30 days of the initial service completion date. Learn more about Google Guarantee.
