You can make and edit collages with photos in your library on the Google Photos app or on the web. To edit your collages on your mobile device, use the Google Photos app. Some features aren't available on the web.
Step 1: Open the Collage tool
There are 2 ways to access the Collage tool.
Select the photos first:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos app

- Select up to 6 photos.
- At the bottom, tap Add to
Collage.
From the “Create” tab:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos app
.
- At the bottom, tap Create
Collage.
- To start your creation, you can either:
- Select the photos you want to use.
- At the bottom, select a template.
- At the top right, tap Create.
Step 2: Choose a design & edit your photos
Before you save, you can replace, edit, rotate, resize, and change the order of photos in your collages.
- Select a collage design.
- Edit your photos.
- To replace a photo:
- Tap the photo you want to replace
Replace.
- Select a new photo.
- Tap Done.
- Tap the photo you want to replace
- To edit a photo: Tap the photo you want to edit
Edit.
- To rotate a photo:
- Touch and hold the photo.
- Turn until the photo reaches the position you want it in.
- To zoom in or out of a photo frame: Pinch closed to zoom out and pinch open to zoom in.
- To change the order of the photos: Touch and hold, then drag the photo to the position where you want it.
- To replace a photo:
Tip: Your device must have at least 3 GB RAM and iOS 16+.
Step 3: Review & save your collage
Once you choose a collage layout and make any edits to your photos, to save your collage, tap Save.
Step 4: Find your collages
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos app
.
- At the bottom, tap Search.
- Tap the search bar.
- Enter "Collages."
- Tap Collages.
