The API is what we use internally within the plugin to communicate with the edit page and the back-end, so it is fairly complete as far as that functionality goes. We’re committed to continuing to maintain and grow it as we work on uplifting different parts of the plugin, and are very open to suggestions if there are any missing endpoints or functionality.
We currently don’t have external documentation for the API – instead, we use the standard method of documenting the schema within the API itself, which you can see by visiting https://dev.hippoo.app/wp-json/code-snippets/v1.
We’d definitely be open to putting together a proper documentation site, but as we hope to confirm to the WP API standards, interacting with the Code Snippets API should be similar to interacting with the core WordPress API, and we’d need to know what value we could offer from a dedicated documentation site over what is currently available.
Definitely keen to work with you and make this integration happen!
We’re excited to share that we’ve integrated Code Snippets into our Hippoo WooCommerce app! Users can now add, edit, and delete code snippets directly within the Hippoo app.
If possible, we’d love for you to feature this integration on your website so more users can discover and take advantage of it.
We also had a question regarding your cloud-based Code Snippets library. Does it have a public API? If so, it would be fantastic to integrate it into Hippoo, allowing users to access and use cloud-based snippets directly from our app.
We’d love to hear your thoughts!
Best,
