What Bay Cove Taught Me About Investing With Dignity Ever notice how your best investing lessons don’t come from Excel… but from people? Mine came from serving on the Board of Bay Cove Human Services. At Bay Cove, we listen first and meet people where they are. That shaped how I approach multifamily. For me, “investing with dignity” means quick fixes when something breaks, writing policies anyone can understand, and making upgrades that actually make daily life better. When residents feel respected, they stay longer. Turnover drops. Communities get stronger. And yes, the numbers usually follow. If you’re just starting out, try this simple test: would I want my family living here? Be real in your assumptions. Be human in your management. Work with partners who do the same. If you believe real estate can be both profitable and human, let’s talk!

50 Years of Heart, Hope, and Home Last week we celebrated Bay Cove Human Services 50th Anniversary and wow, what a milestone! As a proud board member, I left energized by the people, the stories, and the real impact built one life at a time. This season, I’m supporting Bay Cove’s Winter Warmth Holiday Fund helping individuals and families facing mental health challenges, substance use, developmental disabilities, and homelessness live full, healthy lives.
