We have some exciting news for Kenton County's park lovers! Last week, Kenton County selected Bayer Becker and Human Nature to lead design work for the new County park in Independence, working alongside J.S. Held LLC to bring our master plan to life. This project is the largest single investment ever made in Kenton County’s park system—$20 million committed in the first phase—and will transform 225 acres into a vibrant hub for recreation, gathering, and outdoor exploration. “Kenton County’s parks are where communities come together, families make memories and people recharge,” said Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann. “Selecting the right design partners is a critical step in creating a park that will serve residents for generations.” Located next to Lincoln Ridge Park, the new park will become a regional destination while preserving the natural beauty residents already enjoy.
