  • 50 years! Parham Doctors’ Hospital – which opened the doors for the Henrico County campus in August of 1975 – celebrated a golden milestone this month! Five decades of caring for our community! Colleagues, physicians, local officials and friends of Parham, connected on a beautiful fall day reflecting on Parham Doctors’ history and looking ahead to its future. An innovative facility, already recognized as a specialty hospital for orthopedic care, is a leader in the region – as the only center in Central Virginia providing endoscopic spine procedures. This ultra-minimally invasive surgery offers a rapid recovery time with some post-procedure patients reporting a zero level of pain – having arrived struggling for years at level ten when other options had not delivered relief. Making innovative care like this available brings a quality of life so many are striving to return to – possible. Smiles and excitement bubbled as long-tenured colleagues, were celebrated and new colleagues learned about 50 years of care and innovation that began in 1975. Everyone agreed, Parham Doctors’ demonstrates excellence because of the colleagues and the service of community partners. The celebration included a ceremonial dogwood tree planted on campus – which will grow in tandem with Parham Doctors’ Hospital! Special appreciation to our guests The Honorable Delegate Destiny LeVere Bolling of the 80th District, Henrico Co. County Manager John Vithoulkas and Henrico County Fire Chief, Jackson Baynard with Henrico County Fire and EMS, for sharing in this celebration with the team! Happy 50th Anniversary, Parham Doctors’ Hospital!

  • The '9/11 National Day of Service' welcomed the contributions of the Hanover Fire-EMS Training Division. Colleagues from Hanover Emergency Center, a free-standing emergency room of Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, joined by colleagues from Henrico Doctors’ – Forest supported Hanover County Fire & EMS leadership, in this community-driven project beautifying the Training Center’s appearance and functionality. Volunteers helped with digging holes, planting dogwood trees, placing decorative stone rings around the base of each tree, and spreading mulch around the space. Volunteers’ work makes a lasting impact for this critical public safety facility used extensively for essential fire and emergency services training and visited regularly by numerous regional partner agencies. Great work!
