Today, on Veterans Day, we pause to honor and express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication have protected the freedoms and values we hold dear. At HHM Health, we are proud to stand with our veterans — including those who are part of our HHM family — and we thank you for your service and continued commitment to helping others. Your strength and sense of duty inspire us all. As we reflect on this day, let’s take a moment to reach out, say thank you, and honor those who have worn the uniform in service to our country.

Patient-Focused Community Health Center
About us
As an FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) and a community-based organization, HHM Health is a beacon of hope providing affordable, accessible, and compassionate healthcare to those in the Dallas community and surrounding areas. The clinic is located in the heart of Dallas where the highest density of Section 8 Housing is located. Sixty percent of the children in the area are on free/reduced lunch, a key poverty indicator. They are the working poor ~ many on the brink of homelessness. The clinic is the medical home for residents in need, helping them avoid expensive area hospital emergency room visits for primary care. Here, patients receive comprehensive medical services. HHM Health collaborates with other community providers to coordinate referrals outside its scope of services including extensive diagnostic testing and surgery. HHM Health is a healthcare model that takes no taxpayer dollars, yet saves taxpayers millions. It has created a legacy of hope, a place where dignity is given back and each patient is treated with respect and genuine, quality care. Families are empowered. Parents don’t have to choose between rent or medicine or which child will be treated. Mothers and fathers can be treated, too, and receive the care they need without compromise. HHM Health builds trust with families by providing reliable, effective, efficient health care services to manage their acute and chronic diseases.

The Orchid Giving Circle gathered to celebrate their grantees, and we were honored to be part of the celebration. Our own Jean Buys and Ahsamee Jasan had the opportunity to speak on a panel about the mission of HHM Health and how Orchid Circle’s funding has made a difference at our organization. Ahsamee also shared a patient testimonial that showed the real-life impact of their support for Asian women and children. With the generosity of the Orchid Giving Circle, we are able to provide interpretation services at our Vickery Women’s Health Center, expanding access and ensuring that more patients receive care in the language they understand best. To the donors, partners, and fellow grantees: thank you. Your support is helping to provide compassionate, accessible, and quality healthcare to all our neighbors in need.

We had the incredible opportunity to appear on Good Morning Texas with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas to talk about their expanded Special Beginnings Maternal and Infant Health Initiative. Our very own, LaTasha Jarrett, shared insights and helped spread awareness on the importance of maternal healthcare. Huge thank you to the team at Good Morning Texas and BCBSTX for having us! We were honored to be chosen by McKesson as a Community Impact Day site that brought both heart and hands-on support to our community. With the help of McKesson’s amazing volunteers, we prepared our new pharmacy and dental clinic where we transformed the space with fresh paint and vibrant art that will welcome patients for years to come. Even more impactful, McKesson leadership distributed over 250 boxes of food to community members, making a direct difference where it’s needed most. A heartfelt thank you to Nimesh Jhaveri, Brian Tyler, and the other McKesson leadership who made this project possible. We’re also incredibly proud of our own CEO, Brian A. Hawkins, MHA, whose vision and leadership continue to drive forward our mission of expanding accessible care for all. Together, we’re not just building clinics, we're building a stronger future for our community.

We are so grateful to the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas for selecting HHM Health as a recipient of their Community Impact Grant in the amount of $375,000. This grant will allow us to expand access to prenatal care, reduce maternal and infant health disparities, enhance behavioral health services for new moms, and help families establish HHM Health as their permanent medical home. Thank you, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas for recognizing the critical role we play in advancing access to affordable healthcare. Together, we’re building healthier futures for North Texas.
