At IQ Fiber, we have a new storytelling series called “Dear Ted,” where employees tell CEO Ted Schremp something unique about their job. The series has provided an intimate look at our day-to-day operations. The first submission detailed how an IQ Fiber technician, Nicholas Goodnow, fully installed a customer without ever setting foot into the home. Here’s what Stefan Vales-Hunt, Nick’s supervisor, sent to Ted: "Dear Ted, One of our calls was for a home with a child who could not be exposed to anyone outside of his family. He was so excited and looking forward to getting IQ Fiber services, so Nick told the customer that he could make it happen - even from outside. The (adult) customer assisted Nick in getting the fiber inside, and Nick handed her the equipment. Nick was then able to install the router via Bluetooth and check the speeds. The customer was very happy. Nick is very detailed and customer-driven. A Google review search will show you the magic he brings to each and every customer." #CustomerService #FTTH #FiberOptics

IQ Fiber has officially launched in Charleston with our first Fiberhoods of West Ashley and Mount Pleasant. A special IQ Fiber tradition was carried out -- our team got together at our fiber-optic hub, and everyone signed the inside of the door. Afterwards, our employees held a nearby launch party, where we hosted local residents, many of whom have never had access to fiber-optic internet. “At IQ Fiber, everything we do is centered on creating the best possible experience for our customers,” said Ted Schremp, CEO of IQ Fiber. “That means making internet service easy to understand, simple to manage, and reliable every day. From transparent pricing to local customer support, our goal is to deliver fast internet without the hassles customers have come to expect from traditional providers.” Charleston is the fourth major Southeastern U.S. market launched by IQ Fiber, which also completed the acquisition of Maryland's ThinkBig Networks this year. Commercial services -- available in all markets -- kicked off as well. Charleston Mayor William S. Our employees are empowered in their daily work, and we quickly promote within the organization. Matthew Staggs (left) has been promoted to Customer Service Supervisor, Sami El Aflahi (center) is our new NOC Technician, and Dani Sprague (right) has been promoted to Senior Director of Acquisition Marketing. This is Matt's second promotion at IQ Fiber -- he's especially skilled at training new hires the IQ Fiber way of doing things. Matt has certifications in CompTIA A+, Linux Essentials, Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure Ai. This is also Sami's second promotion this year -- he started as a Contact Center Representative while working on his Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunication degree. Sami played a major role deploying the IQ Fiber network in Savannah and Charleston. He even helped educate schoolchildren in Charleston about how fiber-optic networks shape our daily lives! Dani has helped grow IQ Fiber from one market to seven and continues to support the marketing team. On a different note - IQ Fiber is closing in on 10,000 followers on LinkedIn!
