The biggest pain points? Poor customer service and claims handling — in addition to price. 💡 As our CEO Sean Harper shared: “Some insurance companies outsource all of their customer service, which can lead to really poor alignment on communication between the insurance company, the customer service reps, and the policyholders. What happens to flood insurance when the government shuts down? When the federal government shuts down, the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) can’t issue new policies or renewals. That can leave some homebuyers unable to close and some homeowners temporarily unprotected. Private insurers like Kin continue operating, offering flood coverage even when the NFIP is on hold.
