A sincere thank you to our Transportation Security Administration (TSA) partners who continue to show up every day during the shutdown. Your professionalism and commitment keep our passengers moving safely, and we are grateful for everything you do across our network. This week, our teams at ILG, ACY, TTN, and RFD organized coffee and snacks as a small show of appreciation. Thank you to our TSA partners for the critical work you do for the traveling public.

With this launch, Landline now operates five fully airside routes with American Airlines out of PHL. Book from TTN to the world on aa.com.

Since 2005, North America has lost 562 short-haul routes. Landline is bringing them back, restoring regional connectivity with high-frequency service that seamlessly links local airports to the global network. This fall, we are expanding with new routes to South Bend, Rockford, Trenton, and Kingston with our partners at American and Air Canada, while continuing to increase frequencies across our network, including airside-to-airside connections, from Philadelphia (PHL), Chicago O'Hare (ORD), and Toronto Pearson (YYZ).
Is short-haul flying worth saving in North America? Already, we've lost hundreds of markets. Should they come back? Our newsletter this week looks at the lost markets, and how short-haul flying in North America has been in long-term decline since 1990. More people are driving further to fly further. The loss of 562 city pairs resulted in over 770,000 annual flights that used to take place, now… not. That may sound like a lot, but it’s less than two flights per day each way on the lost routes. The question remains whether those routes that were viable are still viable today. While it feels like everything requires a connecting flight, connecting itineraries are significantly lower today than in 2005. Why? More people are driving to the mega-hubs, sometimes up to four hours. Drive four hours to an airport and you’re not going to take a one-hour flight. Bigger aircraft flown on fewer flights further limits connections, but also limits recovery options. Proud to connect Allentown (ABE) to the world in partnership with American Airlines. Our 100% airside service to American's Philadelphia (PHL) hub has grown to six daily roundtrips, providing seamless connectivity for Lehigh Valley travelers.
Best Month! We're excited to share that 102,634 passengers traveled through the ABE in July – the highest monthly total on record for the Airport. “Our entire airport staff deserves a lot of recognition for their commitment to delivering the highest level of service as a record number of travelers are choosing to Fly Local and Fly ABE,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority. Thank you for choosing us!

✈️ Landline service is now boarding from Trenton Mercer Airport-Ttn (TTN), marking another step forward in how we connect travelers to the world. This innovative partnership between PHL, American Airlines, and The Landline Company replaces short flights with a secure, luxury motorcoach ride — making regional connections faster, more comfortable, and more sustainable. Here’s How it Works: 1️⃣ Travelers book their trip on aa.com or the American Airlines app. 2️⃣ They check in and clear TSA at TTN before boarding. 3️⃣ Travelers board the Landline motorcoach from the secure gate area. 4️⃣ They travel in comfort with spacious seating, Wi-Fi, and power outlets. 5️⃣ Arrive post-security at PHL and connect seamlessly to over 130 destinations. We’re proud to keep expanding this service with our partners, offering more travelers a smarter way to start their journey. #PHLAirport

Sometimes it’s simple ideas that make the biggest impact. Starting September 22, travelers flying American Airlines out of PHL can now begin their journey at Trenton-Mercer Airport. With the expansion of Landline service, travelers can clear security in Trenton, ride a comfortable coach, and arrive post-security at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) — ready to connect to Europe, the Caribbean and across America. This model already works well in Atlantic City (ACY), Wilkes-Barre / Scranton (AVP), Wilmington (ILG), and the Lehigh Valley (ABE), and we’re bringing the same convenience to Trenton. It’s all about making travel easier, smarter, and more accessible. https://lnkd.in/e2yEXXn6
