The All Saints Coyotes brought the heat at the Senior Living Innovation Forum (SLIF) 🔥 Lifespark CEO Joel Theisen, RN joined Dr. Bill Thomas to discuss how Lifespark is transforming the senior living experience and improving outcomes for older adults. Following their conversation, conference participants went head-to-head with the Coyotes, testing strength, teamwork, and a little friendly competition in a live Grip Games match, where water is pumped through the Power Loop to see who can move the most. This is just one of the many Spark Competitions held throughout the year, where we make staying active (and improving grip strength) fun, engaging, and just a little competitive. #COMPLETEseniorliving

I had a major epiphany. My refusal to discuss death with my mother had not been a kindness. It had been a disservice. She’d tried to talk to me about dying, but I’d shut her down. I wanted to help her pretend it wasn’t happening. And more selfishly, I couldn’t discuss the unthinkable with her. https://bit.ly/3Ljtqtk

BEWARE: This is not a career for the zombies - those working in a sick care system thinking there’s nothing you can do to change it. We believe in something better. And our team is just getting started… https://hubs.ly/Q03QT0b20

✨ We’re proud to have so many incredible people on our team — including Esme, Assistant Director of Health Services at Carver Ridge Senior Living. Esme’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. She came to the United States as a high school student who didn't speak any English at the time, and through determination, courage, and compassion, she has built an extraordinary career in nursing. With support from the International Institute of Minnesota Medical Career Advancement program, Esme earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree while balancing work and raising three children. Now, she’s not only leading with heart at Lifespark but also making a difference in the lives of the seniors she serves every day. 💜 https://hubs.ly/Q03Q_5Ww0

Dear Ethel, I keep a daily planner to write down all my doctor visits throughout the year. My neighbor saw my schedule and was astounded. She said she sees her doctor once a year and that’s only if they call her to schedule an appointment. We’re both generally healthy seniors, so this got me wondering how often should we see our primary care providers? Great question – here’s Ethel’s answer… https://hubs.ly/Q03PPXgL0
