We are honored to work side by side with the BPPALN (Black Panther Party Alumni Legacy Network, Auntie Francis and her Self Help Hunger Program (providing free groceries to those in need), CBCB Dispensary, and many others on our monthly Holistic Health Program event, every 3rd Sunday at the Chapel of Flowers in Berkeley.
We began this program with providing clean plant medicine, food, toiletries, warmth, hugs, and smiles, along with the desire to build community through education and humility.
We started the program 1 year ago yesterday and served prob 20 people that 1st Sunday, one year ago. Yesterday we provided herbs and food for almost 200 folks that we consider our family now.
Month after month, a neighbor would tell a neighbor, a friend would tell a friend, and now we hv a lot of the same folks that come with smiles, hugs, and stories to share from the month b4.
This even fills my heart and helps remind me why we do what we do.
Amongst all the pencils, computers, spreadsheets, and strategic planning, we also human, living amongst other humans, that a lot of, are not as fortunate as you or I and instead of talking shop, are wondering where they’re going to sleep, what and when they’re going to eat next, and if anyone loves them.
Always grateful🙏🏼❤️💛💚💙
