A little over six months ago, I stepped in as interim CEO of Sonos, driven by a deep belief that this company – our mission, our people, our products – was worth fighting for. It was a “run to the fire” moment that was more instinct than calculated career planning. Since then, we’ve gone back to first principles: listening to our customers, fixing hundreds of bugs, improving performance, and focusing our energy on fewer, more meaningful bets. The teams here have thrown themselves into this work, late into the night and across weekends, and the results are beginning to show, not just in the metrics, but in the tone of the conversation about our company amongst our customers, investors, and critics. But there’s still so much work to do and that’s why I’m honored to share that the Board has asked me to lead Sonos into its next chapter as CEO. So here we are. Sonos is entering a new chapter, one powered by the same spirit that launched us more than 20 years ago: a relentless pursuit of excellence, a belief in the transformative power of sound, and a commitment to building experiences that bring comfort, energy and connection to people’s lives. I’m so proud to step into the CEO role. I’m even more proud of the team who has poured so much into this turning point. Our next chapter together starts today.

We are excited to announce the appointment of Hugo Barra to our Board of Directors, effective April 7, 2025. Mr. Barra is the co-founder and head of product at /dev/agents, a software company building a next-generation operating system for AI agents. With his extensive experience driving product innovation at companies like Meta, Xiaomi, and Google, we look forward to learning from his invaluable insights and leadership.
