District 7 will hold an educator recruitment fair (for all certified positions) on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 5-7 PM in our Fine Arts Center at Spartanburg High School. All schools will be present to help roll out the red carpet as we share info about current and future open positions across the district. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet our superintendent, teachers and administrators; speak with Human Resources about benefits and compensation; and apply for jobs on the spot. Happy 75th Birthday, Mary H. Wright Elementary! What a joyful celebration with our students, teachers and staff, families, and community supporters—all gathered to honor the rich legacy of this beloved school. Principal Tammy Jordan shared a heartfelt message reflecting on the founding values that have made Mary H. Wright Elementary a cornerstone of our community and the bright future ahead: “We will keep dreaming big, working hard, and doing what we’ve always done best—loving and lifting up every child who walks through our doors.” Here’s to 75 years of excellence, and to many more years of shining bright!

2025 Advanced Placement exam scores and student awards have been announced by the College Board! Once again, Spartanburg High School had a very successful year with 287 students taking 540 AP exams in 23 subject areas. SHS achieved an overall pass rate of 85% (a score of 3 or higher) and exceeded the national pass rate in 20 subjects (in 83% of the courses we teach). Eight AP subjects had a 100% pass rate and 17 subjects had at least an 80% pass rate. An impressive 56% of our exam scores were a 4 or 5! Check out our list of 22 AP Capstone Diploma recipients and 120 AP Scholars, including 79 who earned AP Scholar with Honor or with Distinction. Please give a shout-out and a share to help us congratulate them on this incredible accomplishment! SHS principal Dr. Andrew McMillan congratulates our Vikings on rising to the challenge, noting: "These outstanding results reflect the hard work and dedication of our students as well as our teachers and staff. Our students continue to embrace academic challenges that result in their growth and success, with many enrolling in multiple AP courses each year. We are thrilled to celebrate their accomplishments and the positive impact our educational community has on their growth and success."
