Last week, we welcomed 19 Starbucks College Achievement Plan (SCAP) Fellows to the Seattle Support Center as they wrapped up their 13-week fellowship program. This experience is designed for U.S. partners (employees) who are SCAP juniors, seniors, or graduates, giving them the opportunity to apply their Arizona State University degree, share their coffeehouse expertise, and gain hands-on career development by working alongside a Starbucks support team.   We’re incredibly proud of the work they’ve accomplished and the valuable insights they’ll bring back to their home coffeehouses.   Congratulations to all our Fellows!   Learn more about the Starbucks College Achievement Plan and how you can earn your degree—on us—here: https://lnkd.in/gEzDXA7P

This week, Starbucks marked a major milestone in Costa Rica — the 10th edition of the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Barista Championship. Edson from Mexico was crowned the 2025 LAC Barista Champion, recognized for exceptional technique, creativity and the ability to connect through coffee. Congratulations also to María from Costa Rica and Sebastián from Puerto Rico for their outstanding performances. The Championship brought together 18 national champions from across LAC for a day of challenges that tested coffee knowledge and craft - from latte art to signature beverage creation. Partners also visited Hacienda Alsacia, Starbucks first company-operated coffee farm, to experience coffee from seed to cup and connect with our roots in coffee innovation. Here's to a decade of coffee, talent and connection. 🌟 Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gRSdk2yn

Last week, Starbucks El Salvador celebrated its 15th anniversary of retail operations with the opening of its Starbucks Casa Bou flagship coffeehouse in the heart of San Salvador. This breathtaking coffeehouse is an adaptive reuse project that transforms a historic building into a vibrant social hub to uplift local youth via art and education. Learn more about how we are connecting coffee and community as well as the unique design, including murals and stained-glass windows by local Salvadoran artists that tell our coffee story through color and light here: https://lnkd.in/g2PmjxpS

Our partners (employees) have big dreams, and we want to help them achieve those goals, both at Starbucks and beyond. For our people, by our people, our Partner Networks (employee resource groups) are open to all partners and create moments of connection that foster inclusion and contribute to our personal and professional success.  “My grandma would tell me to keep myself grounded and lead with my heart because it will never lead us astray.  Three years ago, I helped establish my region’s chapter of Indigenous Network (IN), and when I sit in our calls today, I’m so proud of how many partners have joined – that I was a part of it. Don’t hesitate to join a partner network; you’ll find so much value in being a part of something bigger. My goal is to become district manager one day and I would also love to be on the national or region board for IN. Whatever I do, I'm going to take the Indigenous Network with me and build on the momentum that we already have and see how much further we can go.” -Lily V. coffeehouse leader and five-year partner in California Through our networks, we build communities of belonging and find opportunities to learn, celebrate, contribute and reflect on the diverse cultures, experiences and beliefs that make us human.
