Just returned from my first CORA University event in Orlando, Florida, and it was an incredible experience! Thank you to the CORA Group for putting together and exciting and impactful week. Thank you CORA Group for inviting me to the #CORAU2025 conference. It was an honor and a pleasure to sit on the AI expert panel with James Peltier (PYXiS Software Group, CSI Orbit), Rich Swier Jr (Raia AI, Constellation Software Inc.), and Maria Becerra (Jonas Software), with Scott Denneny of CSI AI Masterclass fame as our moderator. I also want to thank my colleagues from across CORA for making me feel so welcome, and for the engagement and enthusiasm during the discussions I led on AI monetization in VMS and SEO in the AI era. I learned a lot from colleagues across CORA’s diverse R&D teams during the excellent peer discussions led by the multiple award winning Deepa Manickavasagam (CORA Loyalty). It was amazing to see the enthusiasm and excitement around AI across CORA Group leadership, and the framing of AI as the greatest opportunity of our lifetimes, which I firmly believe it is, and which was articulated perfectly by Matt Otchet. Key take aways for me: While our businesses and customers are diverse, and decentralization is one of the core principles and strengths of Constellation Software Inc. we also have a lot in common in our journey to AI maturity: putting customers first; working from the business problem and never from the technology; and a clear consensus that we lift all boats by working together and learning from each other in how we apply AI to maximize value for our customers and internal productivity gains. No one is here to reinvent the wheel. Trust is at an all time low across private and public sector, nationally and internationally, so it is more important than ever to position ourselves as reliable trusted partners, here to help our customers deliver against their own data strategy and deliver meaningful AI transformation. The divide between B2B and B2C is blurring as we move toward H2H (human to human). "Your last experience is your new expectation", so B2B needs to provide B2C levels of personalization and UX. Excellent keynotes from Ron Tite on 'insight out growth' and the idea that the approach that got us here will not get us there. FOMO is giving way to FOBO (fear of becoming obsolete), and we talked about the tension between shareholder primacy and purpose and what it really means to grow with purpose. And the keynote from Daniel Epstein on the irrational and System 1 thinking aspects of B2B sales and marketing, how to capitalize on those aspects, and the critical importance of aligning with and advancing vertical market expectations while maximising both mental and digital availability. Thanks again to David Rennard for the invite. I had a blast.
