Say hello to Smokey — a brave pup whose smile can light up any room! 🐾   Smokey was found wandering alone in the desert, struggling with painful cactus spikes lodged in his face and eyes. Thankfully, a kind stranger stepped in and brought him to VCA Lakeside Animal Hospital in Reno, Nevada.   Unfortunately, Smokey’s eyes were beyond repair and required urgent treatment. The cost was out of reach for his new owner, but VCA connected him with our HOPE Funds program, making it possible for Smokey to receive surgery to remove both eyes — and get neutered at the same time!   Thanks to our generous donors, income-qualifying pet owners can access emergency, life-saving care, ensuring pets receive help when it matters most. 🐶   Today, Smokey is thriving!
