On November 6th, the Chicagoland Apartment Association hosted it's sold out Preview 2026: Apartment Industry Outlook Breakfast event! Multi-family leaders gathered at the prestigious Union League Club of Chicago for expert forecasts on the 2026 economy and apartment market. Attendees enjoyed breakfast while prominent Chicago area owners and operators provided insight into current and future plans. Yelena Maleyev, CBE, Senior Economist at KPMG US, kicked off the event with insight into next year's economy and a recap of the 2025 picture. Senior Managing Director of Integra Realty Resources, Ron DeVries provided market data for the city and the suburbs. Gina Fortune-Harmon, CPM®, ARM®, Vice President of FLATS, moderated the Operations Panel which include: Wendy Deetjen, VP of Market Rate Management at The Habitat Company, Nichole Oswald, CAM, Regional Property Manager at Hines, Ariana Rasansky, VP, Regional Operations, Multifamily Property Management at JLL; and Jacob Schumaker, ARM Schumaker, Vice President of Operations at Waterton. Stephen Sise, Chief Operating Officer at Golub & Company, moderated the Owners Panel, which consisted of: Ron D.
