👟 Our Nashville-based crew traded in their business casual attire for shorts and sneakers in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Susan G. Komen “More Than Pink” Walk this past weekend. We walked not only for our loved ones and those in our immediate community, but in recognition of our partners who work tirelessly in support of early detection and closing care gaps. (Fun fact: Since 2024, Wellvana ACO providers have completed more than 380K mammograms!) Thank you to all who participated and showed up for the cause, and thank you to our partners for your faithful dedication to those in your care.

The Wellvana Hub in Nashville was a hive of activity this week as we welcomed nearly two dozen partners from across the country as a part of our inaugural Leadership Action Board (LAB)—a select committee representative of our greater ACO body charged with bringing fresh approaches to tired ways of working. When we created LAB, we set out to identify leaders we knew could help us spark the next transformation in accountable care. Over several intense sessions ranging from policy to product, we discussed and debated the most urgent problems for those working within the value-based care model. This cohort of leaders didn’t shy away from tough conversations, demonstrating that they’re up for the challenge of helping establish a culture of ideas and iteration, and pushing back on conventional wisdom. Thank you to everyone who attended for your candid feedback and willingness to take big swings alongside us as your ACO enabler. We can’t wait to see what we do together.

The preliminary results are in for MSSP Performance Year 2024, and providers in Wellvana ACOs have a lot to celebrate:  • Collectively saved Medicare $327M • Outperformed other hospital-led ACOs in key quality care metrics including Depression Screenings, Blood Pressure Control, and 30-day Readmit Rates. • And not to bury the lede, but our largest ACO achieved the single highest savings of all MSSP ACOs, generating $169M in Total Savings. Congrats to all of our partners who work tirelessly to deliver life-changing value-based care. More than 800,000 patients across the country are seeing the benefit. And that’s why all of this matters.

The ink has officially dried on a big new partnership. Cook County Health has signed on to one of our MSSP ACOs to deliver more efficient, less costly care to metro Chicagoans. As one of the nation’s leading public safety net health systems, we’re honored to be entrusted with helping support so many lives as part of CCH’s charitable mission to provide care to all in need.
