JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is a lightweight data-interchange format. It is easy for humans to read and write. It is easy for machines to parse and generate. It is based on a subset of the JavaScript Programming Language Standard ECMA-262 3rd Edition - December 1999. JSON is a text format that is completely language independent but uses conventions that are familiar to programmers of the C-family of languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, and many others. These properties make JSON an ideal data-interchange language. JSON is built on two structures: 1. A collection of name/value pairs. In various languages, this is realized as an object, record, struct, dictionary, hash table, keyed list, or associative array. 2. An ordered list of values. TestMatch is a transaction content comparison tool that provides automated testing of mainframe OLTP (terminal-based Online Transaction Processing applications). It can be used to facilitate the migration of such legacy applications to open systems, or it can provide an automated regression test suite for an application. All user interactions can be recorded centrally on an IBM or Siemens mainframe using standard tools (no client-side or server-side installation of Astadia's tools). Since recording is performed at the network level, it works regardless of the development technology. TestMatch visualizes test scenarios and sessions: this includes the terminal contents as well as all attributes that are typical for terminal-based applications, protected/editable, MDT bit, reverse-video, and colors. TestMatch can replay the recorded scenarios, either against the migrated application (as a migration testing tool) or against the original application (as a regression testing tool).
