Simply trying to get the following code to work with no success,

Inside console log it returns 200 Status, but returning an error based on xhr

JSONP works through HTTP GET not through HTTP POST:

type: 'get',

You can just delete the type, the $.ajax() defaults its type to GET,

@CurtisCrewe So when you inspect the response body what are you getting? I tried the service it returns just fine.
Try removing the jsonp: false and the jsonpCallback, let jQuert handle those for you.
@CurtisCrewe Add a success: and error: handlers. The complete is fired regardless of whether it succeeded or failed. I see a parseerror, meaning all came back fine (seen in the network tab) but the response couldn't be parsed.
I'm guessing this isn't possible to do then ?

And how would i go about accessing the data ?
I think the question of the user is how if only you are referencing script tag?
Browser will load the contents from the location mentioned in the src tag and executes it just like any other JS file loaded via script tag.

I fixed this problem, simply by placing a cURL page on my website which scrapes the content dynamically based on $_GET['term'];

I then used the JSON Ajax to process this file like so
