CakeDC/Users Plugin with EntraId (AzureAD)

I wonder if it would be possible to extend the CakeDC/Users plugin with EntraID (former AzureAD / “Log in with Micorosft Account”). As far as I could see, this is not available ootb.

We use EntraId in our organisation and since we need it in almost every project, we have written a similar plugin which handles Users/Login etc. and also covers login with EntraID.
I would like to switch to CakeDC/Users since this would satisfy all our needs and more (except for the EntraID Login however), so we wouldn’t have to maintain our own plugin and have all the good features from a stable and mature plugin.

I’d like to ask if there are plans to include EntraID in CakeDC/Users or maybe I miss something and this is possible already?
Would extending the Plugin and adding EntraID support be a recommended way? Any caveats? Any suggestions?

Don’t know if the CakeDC people are checking the discourse forum in here but you could also just open an issue on GitHub - CakeDC/users: Users Plugin for CakePHP and try to get some feedback there.
