I am working on ionic angular v7 mobile. I am trying to implement save password feature on sign up page. so if user has to login next time it will auto. For this i have used preference capacitor but it cleared the credentials if we uninstall the app. How can we implement save password like we have in other apps it stores in the password manager and auto fill.

I also recommend checking out how I solved quite a few issues with that approach in a different post on the forum: Autofill credentials without deep linking Follow this especially if you don’t need Deep links in your app and you only need Credential autofilling.

I went through the implementations you showed but “android-host“ we don’t have any website just a mobile application.
Will this work without having any web version of the app?

Unfortunately, my and Capacitor’s approach need a two way association with a website to enable native credential autofill. I’m afraid you won’t be able to reliably trigger opening native password managers without that.
There are some more approaches that you might explore:
I don’t really have any experience with mobile only autofill though. It might be easiest for you to get a domain that you would associate with your app. You would only publish the necessary files for Google and Apple to enable this feature.
Thanks @pdrhlik for quick response. We are thinking to take a domain and that would be better choice for now.
