Shining a light on two leaders who make learning hands-on and fun, Josh Niblett and Rudy Lanuza led our Chattanooga SEC GROW Chattanooga Session #6 on Damage Response Training. Josh guided the session with his expertise, while Rudy brought the energy during the hands-on portion. Thanks to their leadership, 30 employees gained valuable experience in Damage Response and Pipe Locating before enjoying the SEC GROW event. Special thanks to everyone who helped make the day a success, and who went above and beyond to help with cleanup. In every season, our teams find ways to give back! From sponsoring a 2025 SCAA All Stars softball team to helping students start the year strong through The Salvation Army’s Write Stuff school supply drive, our teams continue to step up for their communities. In Charlotte, our team joined NUCA of the Carolinas Young Leaders for a Habitat for Humanity Build Day, installing windows and framing homes to help families in need. Our Virginia team teed up for a purpose at the 8th Annual AABE Virginia Charity Golf Tournament, where proceeds from the event funded scholarships that help empower the next generation of business and STEM leaders across the Commonwealth. This past summer, when a handicap transport van blew a tire near one of our job sites, Foreman Patrick Jones and his team didn’t hesitate to step in. They safely changed the tire, set up water barriers, and flagged traffic to protect everyone in a high-traffic area. And with temperatures in the 90s, they went a step further, offering cold drinks to the patients inside the van while they waited. This is what true teamwork and community care look like. From Gaston to Lincoln to Iredell County, this project reinforces critical natural gas infrastructure across rapidly growing communities in North Carolina. Driven by DOT safety requirements and class location changes from new neighborhoods and increased housing density, our team replaced nearly 12,000 feet of 30–36" pipeline across five segments, including a railroad bore requiring specialized coordination with CSX. Every mile replaced strengthens system integrity, supports future growth, and ensures energy reliability for the communities we serve.
