for an installation of a program, I need to create a schema in mysql using a given script. The program needs mysql to store some information. So, I have installed mysql on my ubuntu using the command:

sudo apt-get install mysql-server

In the given script, there are the following lines:

--
-- Host: localhost Database: nightmare
-- ------------------------------------------------------

You may use a mysql client to connect to the server, http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/mysql.html would be a good start. More mysql utilities are described here, http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/programs-client.html

Here is a mysql tutorial for beginners. It should help. I find videos help more than reading about it.
