This is my bootstrap modal.I need to add those form values into db. FOr this,I have been using ajax post request.The problem is,if I commented the form tag,the url redirection works with ajax post request. But the values where not added due to commenting of form. But when included,no insertion takes place.

Your Javascript is not sending any of the data from the form. You need to collect that, and POST it in your AJAX call, like so:

In your Javascript

In your Controller

I am not sure why you want to return some of the fields you just POSTed back. It would make more sense to return the result of the operation, eg a success or error, and then display that on the front end.

Great!Now it saves in db.But it not redirecting the values
not redirecting the values - what does this mean, what happens? Do you have dataType: 'json' in your Javascript?
Now it saves into db.BUT on redirection it not even displays the alert box
I see - we have to also prevent the default action of the form submitting. I've updated my answer - please try the new Javascript.

It means that record inserted successfully, check and confirm with your DB table
No sir,I only saves the ` deviceCategoryId` and productId.Not the other values like SKUID and all
Check and add these columns as fillable into your model. Might be this is mass assignment issue
