Question

I want to generate and apply the migrations, I ran the following on the command line from within project's folder.

AuthServer.Infrastructure> dotnet ef database update --context AppIdentityDbContext
AuthServer.Infrastructure> dotnet ef database update --context PersistedGrantDbContext

First command succeeded, but for second command I get this output and error:

Updating identityserver4.entityframework from 2.3.2 to 3.0.0 fixed the problem

Updating Microsoft.AspNetCore.Diagnostics.EntityFrameworkCore to 5.0.1 fixed a similar error for me.

I would like to add a new answer for people are using EFxceptions.Identity or any other library that includes Microsoft.AspNetCore.Identity.EntityFrameworkCore to update the version of this library. Also update these packages to the same version:

Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore 8.0.6
Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.SqlServer 8.0.6
Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Tools 8.0.6

Then: Microsoft.AspNetCore.Identity.EntityFrameworkCore has also to be in 8.0.6
